Summary: Responsible for overseeing all production, distribution, and operational activities. This role ensures compliance with quality, safety, and efficiency standards while meeting production and distribution goals. The position leads cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives, optimize resources, and maintain continuous improvement across the plant and distribution operations. Works hand in hand with upper management, supervisors, superintendents, vendors, and contractors to control the operation. Works on special projects and works with USDA on plant issues.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Works well with people and treats everyone equally.
• Understands how all departments in the plant must work together to reach goals.
• Must be able to work with all areas of the company (sales, accounting, quality control, etc.) to reach goals.
• Must be able to control/meet yields, pplh, ppmh on the production lines.
• Needs to work out of the box to bring new ideas to the table to improve the operation.
• Must know product quality and how to run the products to a specification.
• Must be able to adjust formulations and use up meat as necessary.
• Understands inventory control. Reviews inventory cycle counts, authorizes inventory adjustments.
• Oversee Warehouse Operations.
• Monitors and ensures that all safety and operating procedures are maintained and enforced.
• Develops budget, manages towards budget compliance.
• Ensures yard checks, including but not limited to trailer temps, fuel, loading status, seals, railcar stats and overall condition of the building, are completed timely and accurately.
• Ensure monthly safety meetings are held and that relevant items are brought forward when discovered.
• Reviews and ensures compliance with company policies, as well as company SOP’s GMA’s and government authorities. 
• Review and approve purchase orders
• Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs.
• Reviews employee disciplinary actions
• Interviews potential new hires for management roles.
• Implement staff training
• Motivate other members of the team
• Plan and manage projects
• Generates and provides monthly, quarterly, and yearly operations reports.
• Work with third party contractors to maintain facility R&M
• Works with USDA to ensure compliance with all government regulations
• This is a safety sensitive position. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinate superintendents, supervisors, and hourly employees at the Muldrow facility. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises one non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and previous plant operations management experience. Poultry management experience required. Experience in portioning and further processing desired. Must possess analytical business knowledge.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
