Position: Chick Haul Driver
Location: Heavener, OK
Schedule: M-F Shift: 1st Hours: average 12 hr shift
Summary Drives truck to transport chicks to and from specified destinations by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Drives truck to broiler farms.
- Maintains truck log, in a timely manner, according to state and federal regulations.
- Has a thorough understanding of regulations.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Maintains cleanliness of truck and trailer.
- Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
- Must comply with all DOT and state driver training and documentation requirements.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience and/or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate hours of service, complete log book pages and calculate and report hours worked.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a Class-A CDL Drivers License. Must have 12 months verifiable driving experience. Must have no major driving violations and be able to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug test.
