Bachoco USA is seeking a Safety Data Analyst for our Fort Smith, AR location
Summary: Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting safety-related data to help identify trends, improve workplace safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role supports the safety team by delivering actionable insights that drive decision-making and continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collect, manage, and analyze safety data including incident reports, near misses, OSHA logs, training records, audits, and safety observations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key safety performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify trends and root causes in safety data and provide actionable recommendations to reduce incidents and improve compliance.
- Collaborate with safety coordinators, operations teams, and HR to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with regulatory reporting (e.g., OSHA, workers’ compensation reports).
- Maintain safety databases and tools such as EHS management systems.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions by providing data and tracking progress.
- Automate and improve data collection and reporting processes using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI software.
- Provide analytical support during audits, inspections, or incident investigations.
- Create ad hoc reports and presentations for senior leadership and safety committees.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in safety, HSE, or industrial environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety metrics is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple datasets and sources.
- Experience with EHS management systems or incident reporting software is preferred.

- Computer: To perform the job successfully an individual should have knowledge of E-Mail software, accounting systems, SAP, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Attention to detail: Strong ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
