Bachoco USA is seeking an SAP Programmer Analyst for the Fort Smith, AR Central Offices.
Summary: The SAP Business Analyst – PP/QM is responsible for the configuration, support, and continuous improvement of SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality (QM) modules within a manufacturing and finance-focused environment. This role serves as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring that SAP solutions align with business needs. The analyst will also support SAP interface development, reporting, testing, system validation, and provide training and documentation support as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
SAP Configuration and Process Support
- Configure SAP PP and QM modules, including but not limited to:
- Work centers, routings, production orders, cost centers, internal orders, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Analyze and recommend improvements to production planning and cost accounting processes.
- Define, implement, and validate changes in system configuration, ensuring functionality aligns with business requirements.
- Assist in the definition and implementation of business processes and system enhancements within SAP.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Define and create functional specifications for reports and dashboards.
- Develop and maintain InfoSets, SAP queries, and ad hoc reporting solutions using standard SAP tools.
- Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities between SAP and other systems.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Conduct functional and regression testing of system patches, transports, and interfaces.
- Perform root cause analysis of system issues; use ABAP debugging tools to assist in identifying and resolving system errors.
- Coordinate and validate transport requests and system changes in collaboration with the Basis team.
Project Participation and Change Management
- Participate in SAP-related projects including full-cycle implementations, upgrades, and process optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, PM, FI, WM) to ensure end-to-end process alignment and system integration.
- Provide follow-up support for system enhancement requests and user-reported issues.
User Support and Documentation
- Serve as a key support resource for business users during day-to-day operations and project activities.
- Assist in developing user manuals, training documents, and job aids to support system use and understanding.
- Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions and presentations.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure all activities comply with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements and company security policies.
- Adhere to internal development standards and documentation protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP technologies and business best practices.
General Responsibilities

- Provide after-hours support during go-lives, maintenance windows, or critical production issues.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent technical training and SAP experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP configuration experience with a focus on PP and QM modules.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred.
- Participation in at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation is a plus.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of SAP PP and QM configuration and business processes.
- Proficient in the use of SAP reporting tools (queries, InfoSets, standard reports).
- Ability to read and debug ABAP code (basic troubleshooting, not full development).
- Understanding of transport management and basic SAP Basis tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).

Certificates Licenses: Must have a valid driver's license and must be able to qualify for the company driver program.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP software, Accounting software; Database software; Design software; Development software; Project Management software; Microsoft Office software.
Other Qualifications: Stays current in the computer science field. Must have one or more year of experience at this level and has proven analytical skills before being considered for additional responsibility or promotion. Complies with Bachoco USA policies and procedures.
