Bachoco USA is seeking a Budget & Payroll Analyst for the Fort Smith, AR Central Offices.
Summary: The Budget and Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing and analyzing the organization’s budgetary functions and payroll processes. This role ensures accurate financial planning, budget tracking, and payroll compliance with relevant laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of financial systems and payroll software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor organizational spending to ensure compliance with budgets and identify variances.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with analysis of budget trends and cost drivers.
- Assist in long-term financial planning and forecasting.
- Review funding requests and evaluate the financial impact of proposed projects or programs.
- Make recommendations for budget reallocations and cost-saving measures.
- Support audits and internal reviews by providing documentation and financial data.
- Maintain and update financial models and budget tracking systems.
- Provide training or guidance to staff on budget processes and tools.
- Process incoming mail.
- Garnishments: Process employee garnishments (e.g., child support, tax levies, wage assignments) and ensure timely deductions and compliance with court orders. Prepare employment verification responses. Prepare payroll deduction check distribution.
- 401 (k) Contributions: Process employee 401 (k) contributions and employer matches, ensuring that the correct deductions are made and reported.
- Verify, process, and distribute W-2s, ensuring accuracy of employee tax information and timely filling.
- Reconcile Payroll related General Ledger Accounts.
- Payroll taxes: Ensure accurate calculation and withholding of federal, state and local payroll taxes in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain accurate payroll records, prepare annual, quarterly, monthly, bi-weekly, weekly, and daily reports; and assist with payroll-related audits as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws, company policies, and industry standards regarding payroll processing.
- Employee inquires: Address and resolve employee’s inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, deductions, tax withholdings, and other payroll-related concerns.
- Collaboration and Administrative support: Work with other departments /areas to ensure accurate processing of information. Assist with general tasks, such as document preparation, filing, and other ad-hoc request as needed (e.g., WC reporting).
Education and/or Experience
- 4-yr degree preferred in accounting.
- 1-3 three years related payroll experience, preferably experience with large payroll operation (100+ employees); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Computer: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Payroll systems (SAP ECP preferred). Excel Worksheet management: use advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) to analyze and track payroll data, generate reports, and ensure data integrity.
- Attention to detail: Strong ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all payroll-related tasks.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
